Welcoming Week

welcoming_week_Welcoming Week, created by Welcoming America, is designed to promote welcoming communities across the nation for new Americans. According to their website, their goal with these annual events is to “bring together immigrants and U.S.-born residents in a spirit of unity to raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming everyone – including new Americans.” Read more about Welcoming America here.

The New American Consortium for Wellness and Empowerment was the lead organization for Welcoming Week 2015 in the F/M Area. Fourteen events held between September 12-20, 2015, and nearly 1,000 people participated in events! Fargo-Moorhead’s Welcoming Week continues to grow each year and we’re very excited to see its impact on our community.
